They use this washing powder in their high-efficiency, front-loading washers and appreciate the significant cost savings. Alice calculates that her powder costs about 2 cents a load. Compare that with about 30 cents for "Tide-he". Cathy appreciates that it is environmentally safe and lacks packaging materials that can harm the environment.
