Resurrection Egg Hunt: after services (no church dinner)

Easter Lilies: Last day to order Easter Lilies is Sunday, March 28. There is a box in the back of the sanctuary for your order ($10.95).

Easter Breakfast: Let us know if you are coming to our Easter Breakfast.  Sign up in the lobby, and let us know if you can bring a breakfast dish!

We gather to eat a simple brown-bag supper at a little past 5 pm.   This way, those of us that don't have time to eat supper after our day's work can still come to mid-week activities, can have a bite to eat and enjoy some relaxing fellowship before Bible Study.

Presbytery is Coming: April 30-May 1

Representatives from the 21 churches in the Presbytery of the Southeast are coming for two days of meetings at Grace Church. There are lots of chores to do in preparation for this weekend.  Sally Dyar (ssdyar@msn.com) or 524-8129 / 342-2233) is seeking volunteers for the tasks on her list.  There’s one for you!

Camp Living Water

Camp Living Water is a retreat center in Swain County, along Deep Creek, that offers excellent Christian summer camps for children of all ages.  (There are traditional camps and high-adventure experiences for older kids.) The Women of Grace send a number of needy children to camp every summer. We are seeking kids that you would like to recommend for these scholarships.

Joel Sasscer, director of Camp Living Water, will be with us on Sunday, April 18 during our Sunday School hour.  For details about their personal experiences with Camp Living Water, contact Adrian Holt (davidandadrian@gmail.com  / 342-1863)  or Nathan Dewhurst (nathandewhurst@gmail.com /342-1865), who were campers as children, and later counselors, activity directors, and high adventure leaders as young adults.

Ohlin Update, of 3/25/10

Paul is back from Africa. Here’s what’s happening since he returned.

“When I fell off the barrel in Dongou, Congo while working on the wall of the training center, I tore the rotator cuff on my left shoulder.  It is a bad tear.  Pray for the surgery to repair it April 6.  Also pray that I would be healed of the infectious disease (probably filaria) that is raising my eosinophil level”. .  (read more...)

Based in Thailand, the Fains minister throughout South Asia with Pioneers.
“As I write this I am high over Europe in the middle of the night, somewhere between Doha, Qatar and London.  Later this week and into the next (February 12-16) our International Leadership Team meets in the U.K., with colleagues coming from all over the world…”(read more)
