Missions and Outreach

Our Ministries:

Our church has many traditional ministries: local and foreign missions, relief work, and aid to those in need. We also provide some unique ministries within our community:

Personal/Family Counseling:
Grace in the Mountains Shepherding Ministry is a biblical counseling ministry offered to our Great Smoky Mountain community at no charge.
It is a 'Christ-centered, Bible-based and Ministry-focused' service established by Grace Presbyterian Church. This ministry is under the supervision of the Session of our church and coordinated by our pastor, Dr. Kenneth R. Jones (Board Certified Pastoral Counselor). If this sounds like something you or a loved one could benefit from, please call the church.

Financial Counseling
:
Our trained team of financial counselors provides help in personal finance, budgeting and Christian financial accountability.
(Click below for more information.)

Career Counseling:    We provide aptitude testing and counseling from a Biblical perspective for those seeking guidance for their life work.

The Smoky Mountain Greek Institute: Christians from several churches gather to seek greater understanding of the scriptures by learning the original language of the New Testament in these classes.

Special Seminars: We believe that contemporary issues need to be addressed in light of the scriptures.

Prayer Center for the Suffering Church:  We are a special liaison in this area of North Carolina with “Open Doors” and other organizations praying for and addressing the needs of persecuted Christians around the world.

Campus Outreach: We enjoy working with this fine organization ministering to the college students of Western Carolina University. Kevin and Cat Arrowood are leaders at WCU. Click here for details of their ministry.   TeamArrowood.blogspot.com

Grace sponsors a Good News Club on Tuesday afternoons at East Franklin Elementary School.  Club meetings begin right after the school day ends and last for one hour.  The children learn Bible stories and memory verses, sing songs, play Bible games, learn about famous missionaries and enjoy a snack.  Contact our church office for more information on our local program.  For information about Child Evangelism Fellowship, the international organization that began the Good News Club program, visit their site by clicking here.
